What the team seeks

When bringing new team members on board, the team seeks people who share their core values, regardless of the role. All the questions asked during the application process are designed to assess if the applicant aligns with these values. The goal is to see if the applicant fits well with what the team stands for.

Joining a new company is a big decision. It's important to realize that finding the right fit with the team takes some effort. This means both the applicant and the team must invest time and effort. The team evaluates the applicant's skills, expertise, and alignment with their values. At the same time, the team also wants to ensure that STYL Solutions is the right place for the applicant to reach their full potential.

Prior to submitting an application, candidates are required to thoroughly review the Terms & Conditions stated in the Candidate Privacy Notice. By applying, candidates are considered to have read and accepted the terms outlined in the Candidate Privacy Notice. 

Applying to join

The team prioritizes a concise and direct approach, concentrating on practical and quantifiable metrics associated with its tasks. Each candidate will progress through the following stages, following a specific sequence:

Screening

After applying, the application will be shortlisted and reviewed by the team to select applications that meet the group's preliminary requirements. 

A short screening session will be conducted with suitable candidates via phone to get to know them. This is their chance to share who they are, what they've been doing over the past few years, and what they're looking forward to for their next job opportunity. This step is very important to determine whether the development orientation and culture of both parties are compatible or not. 

Normally the screening call will be made 5-7 days after submitting the application.

Technical interview

After reviewing the information provided in the previous step, the team will invite shortlisted candidates for interviews. This can be done in person at one of the company's offices for applicants living in the same city where the office is located, or online.

Applicants in Singapore may be required to fill out an Application Form before conducting an interview. We collect this information to evaluate the application's suitability for the job and assist in decision-making.


During this interview process, candidates can showcase their expertise, professional background, and problem-solving abilities. The interviewer assesses not only the candidate's technical proficiency but also their ability to collaborate with the team and work towards shared objectives.


Throughout the interview, candidates receive comprehensive insights into the project, technology, and work environment at STYL. The technical interview usually spans a duration of 1 to 1.5 hours.


Culture-fit interview

At STYL, our emphasis is on the organizational culture. Following the technical interview phase, candidates proceed to the culture-fit interview round. During this stage, we primarily ask behavioral questions to assess the candidate's alignment with our cultural values. We also encourage candidates to express their opinions and pose inquiries regarding the role, company, and cultural aspects.

To ensure a streamlined and convenient experience for candidates, the culture-fit interview round takes place right after the technical interview. Typically, this session lasts around 30 minutes.


* Reference Check

Not every candidate is mandated to undergo reference checks. The team exclusively conducts reference checks for candidates occupying security-related roles, such as management, human resources, accounting, finance, and IT helpdesk positions. Reference checks are conducted using 1 to 3 contact details voluntarily provided by the candidate. The outcomes serve as references in the decision-making process.



Final decision

The team will conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the applicant, carefully examining all the information gathered throughout the entire application process. Candidates will be informed of the results within 7 days after the final round (technical interview/ reference check), except in special cases.

Throughout the hiring process, the team places a high emphasis on prudence. The fundamental principle is that it is preferable to reject an unsuitable candidate rather than risk hiring the wrong person, which could lead to significant disruption. If you are not chosen, your information will be retained for the next 6 months for potential future opportunities.
